Privacy policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

This site collects one thing: an email address, and only if you type it in and press the button. This page explains what happens to it.

Two things on this page are not filled in yet.

The business behind 88.years is not registered yet, so the legal entity name and the registered address are marked as placeholders below. Anything highlighted in yellow is a placeholder, not a real value.

Who is responsible for your data

[Legal entity name: placeholder, business not yet registered], at [Registered address: placeholder], Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions, requests and complaints go to sticker@88years.com and a person reads them.

What we collect

We do not run analytics on this site. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, and no cookie set by us.

One thing worth knowing about the fonts

The page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We do not control what Google does with it. If that matters to you, we can serve the fonts from our own domain instead, and we intend to do that before the shop opens.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To send you two kinds of email: one when a design opens for claims, and one when a new country unlocks. That is the only purpose. We rely on your consent, given when you submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your data, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

Who else touches it

Both are used only to run the list and the site, and neither is permitted to use your address for anything of their own.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that your address opted out, so that we do not accidentally add you again.

What you can ask for

Email sticker@88years.com and we will act on it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you have these rights under the GDPR and can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UAE, the relevant law is Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect email addresses from anyone under 18. If you think we have one, tell us and it goes.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the list lives in Kit rather than on a machine of ours. No system is perfect, and we are not going to claim otherwise.

Changes to this policy

The date at the top changes when the policy does. If a change materially affects how we use your address, we will email the list rather than quietly editing the page.
